PowerBat Baseball - The Beginning

PowerBat Baseball was established in the Spring of 2020 during one of the most uncertain times in our country’s history.

When COVID brought youth sports to a halt, we made a decision: our players would keep playing America’s pastime.

What started as one team, made up of young athletes from Northern New Jersey

and became something much bigger than we ever imagined.

Our first team was a 9U group. The funny part? Only three players were actually nine years old. The rest were eight-year-olds competing up.

From the very beginning, we built a culture of toughness, growth, and belief.

PowerBat Baseball was born.

Our Growth

From that first 9U team:

2021 – Expanded to 3 teams

2022 – Grew to 6 teams

2023 – 5 competitive teams

2024 – 6 teams strong

Then in Fall 2024, after over a year and a half of building a working relationship,

PowerBat officially merged with PS2 Crusaders, forming the PowerBat PS2 program.

Our Home – PS2 Athletics Crusaders

Our athletes are proud to call PS2 Athletics home.

PS2 Athletics is a 36,000-square-foot multi-sport training facility housing baseball, basketball, soccer, lacrosse, and football training.

The Academy division — PS2 Academy — serves as the club team arm of the organization, fielding competitive teams from 9U through 15U, with expansion into additional sports on the horizon.

The Academy provides:

Comprehensive skill development

Structured strength and conditioning

High-level instruction

Preparation for high school and collegiate baseball

The mission is simple: prepare players for the next level — wherever they are in their journey.

The merger created something stronger — a program built on culture, development, and opportunity.
